Why are you running?
I’m running for Library Trustees because as a former librarian, I believe libraries are the cornerstone of a compassionate, thoughtful, and well-educated community. I want to work with the Library Trustees and the new Library Director to create a space Wrentham deserves; to expand the library’s collections, services, and events so everyone has a space to feel welcome.
Bio
After earning my Master’s in Library and Information Science, I held various positions serving communities through libraries including research intern, adult literacy instructor, and high school librarian. Working with teenagers was incredibly rewarding and I not only learned how libraries can better serve young adults but how libraries can be more accessible to individuals with learning differences. I look forward to the opportunity to bring this perspective to the Library Trustees and the Fiske Library.
My husband and I moved to Wrentham in 2018 and welcomed our son shortly thereafter. We’ve loved becoming members of Wrentham’s close-knit community. In my short time here, I've also volunteered with the Metacomet Greenway Association, a non-profit working to create a 17-mile rail trail from Walpole to North Attleboro. As a family we enjoy hiking, reading, and playing board games.
I currently work from home for a small start-up oncology company.
